Causal Factors Affecting the Organizational Commitment of Personnel in the Retail Credit Approval Office at Government Savings Bank

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the factors of transformational leadership, organizational justice, organizational climate; job satisfaction, and organizational commitment of personnel in the retail credit approval office at Government Savings Bank, 2) to analyze the confirmatory factor of the rational relationship of personnel in the retail credit approval office at Government Savings Bank based on the Structural Equation Model, and 3) to study the rational relationship based on the Structural Equation Model of personnel in the retail credit approval office at Government Savings Bank. The sample group was 226 employees out of a total of 502 people in the retail credit approval office 1-18 at Government Savings Bank.

1) The factors of transformational leadership, organizational justice, organizational climate; job satisfaction, and organizational commitment were at a high level compared to the set criteria.

2) All observed variables used in the study were confirmatory factors based on the structural equation model under the statistical agreement: Chi-square = 228.96, df = 291, P- value = 0.99705, RMSEA = 0.000, and every variable has a factor loading of > 0.50.

3) The organizational commitment of personnel in the Retail Credit Approval Office at the Government Savings Bank is positively directly influenced by two factors, namely the organizational climate factor was at a low level, and the job satisfaction factor was at a medium level. At the same time, it is indirectly influenced by three factors, namely, the transformational leadership factor by passing through the factor of organizational justice, organizational climate factor, and job satisfaction factor was at a high level, and also indirectly influenced by the organizational justice by passing through the organizational climate factor and job satisfaction factor was at a low level, and is also indirectly influenced by the organizational climate factor by passing through the job satisfaction factor was at a low level. The results of this research revealed all four variables mentioned above can be predicted from the dependent variable based on the organizational commitment factor was significantly 80 percent at the .05 level.
