The Effects of Reflective Journal Writing on Mathematics Teachers
Abstract
Reflective journal writing is an essential tool for mathematics teachers to promote their professional development. Through reflective journal writing, teachers can reflect on their practices, identify areas for growth, and develop strategies for change. Theoretical frameworks have identified that reflective practices can enhance professional development by increasing critical thinking, promoting awareness of underlying assumptions, and facilitating the acquisition of new knowledge and skills.
