Abstract

Cloud computing is the practice of managing available resources or data virtually. Consequently, scheduling algorithms are needed to ensure that all of the virtual components are managed efficiently. Various users are attempting to access various virtual resources simultaneously, so manual scheduling is not possible. Scheduling tasks aims to increase efficiency by reducing the amount of time spent on them. Task scheduling has already been discussed in many research papers. In this article, we explore various task scheduling strategies and related metrics that are most suitable for cloud computing environments, and present them in the form of a comprehensive survey. The paper examines scheduling methodologies and their limitations as well. The various scheduling procedures are calculated into the account in order to facilitate the discovery of the characteristics and their inclusion in the dedicated system. The survey considers these aspects: measured parameters, applications, and methods. Additionally, future issues are also discovered regarding scheduling-based cloud computing.
