Institutional strategic planning effect in university services quality management

Abstract

In order to study the level of influence of the Institutional Strategic Plan-ISP, in the management of academic and National University Hermilio Valdizan of Huanuco, information was obtained from teachers, undergraduate students, administrative personnel and graduates of UNHEVAL, applying a survey with two structured questionnaires, one to collect information from those involved about the institutional strategic plan and the other questionnaire for the management of academic and administrative quality.

The results of the application of the questionnaires express that 55% of the interviewees state that the academic and administrative management of the institution, being possible to improve, especially in this segment that qualifies as regulating the management.

The results were that the Institutional Strategic Planning, mission, vision, objectives, strategies, swot and goals are positively related to the quality management of academic and administrative services at the National University Hermilio Valdizán.

It is recommended that the university authorities coordinate actions of socialization of the activities corresponding to the institutional strategic Planning and achieve greater participation of the actors (teachers, students, administrator and graduates); in order to improve the management of the quality of academic services and administrative staff of the academic and administrative and service at the university.

It is important to improve the scope of the objectives proposed in the strategic plan, as well as to review and update the goals proposed in the strategic plan in relation to budget and time, to guarantee better quality management of academic and administrative services in the Hermilio Valdizán National University of Huánuco.
