Abstract

In this paper author tried to highlight the advantages of nature exposure for children. As we all know natural environment is drastically being reduced by various human activities such as civil constructions, industries. One of the most important factors for reduction of natural environment is urbanization. In fact, lot of traffic and busy parking zones in school campus may hinder children’s cognitive functioning.  Children living in urban areas are not much exposed to natural environment such as rivers, mountains, coastal areas, forests and green spaces. Sometimes, they may not even access into parks nearby. It is assumed that exposure to natural environment would improve cognitive performance in school children. In order to explore, the author has adapted systematic review method on the basis of researches done in the past. From this review, interesting conclusions have been drawn. Some findings of the variables are found consistent whereas other is inconsistent. These discussions have been presented systematically.
