Abstract

Purpose:The present study is based on the financial impact assessment of Micro finance institutions on small businesses globally, with reference to the knowledge of financial services and how it influenced the lives of small business owners. The study also includes whether the microfinance institutions has accomplished their objectives for which they are identified and also concentrates on how small businesses have increased their profits.

Research Methodology:The study is based on systematic literature review of research articles and from reports in the same research area.  The financial impact assessment is made on the basis of Access, Quality services, Loan portfolio and performance and growth of SME’s

Findings and conclusion: The findings are, MFI’s are considered as positive paradigm in providing assistance to SME’s, steering to economic and social development.
