Abstract

A COVID-19 pandemic which has reported in early January 2020. The pandemic rapidly spread all over the world. The COVID-19 is a very impactful event for the 21st century. For reduction of a risk factor to COVID-19 virus, different government authorities have taken steps to take care of hygiene, personal care, and partial and full lockdowns. During this pandemic trip behaviour of residents has changed due to restrictive measures by the government and due to personal perceptions for COVID-19. In this paper major travel choice governing factors are highlighted. The factors focus not only on the socio-demographic study and personal characteristics of residents but also focuses the other psychological factors. The web-based questionnaire survey was done randomly for Surat city. Surat is rapidly growing cities of State Gujarat. Data were analyzed through SPSS software to point out the major governing factors for the choice of the trip currently in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
