Abstract

This research study aims to investigate and analyze how the performance of cooperative management is affected by training, communication, and work environment, with competence serving as an intervening variable. The cooperatives that are the focus of this research are Multi-Purpose Cooperatives (Multi-Purpose) and hold a Cooperative Identification Number (NIK) Certificate issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The population for this study consisted of cooperative administrators in Malang City who had attended cooperative training. A total of 173 respondents were selected using simple conditional random sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire process utilizing the Likert scale, which ranged from 1 to 5. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis tool is available in the AMOS23 statistical software package for modeling and hypothesis testing, The analysis was conducted using two techniques, namely Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Regression Weight. This research concludes that training, communication, and the non-physical work environment have a direct effect on performance and an indirect effect through competency.
