Abstract

This paper briefly describes the basic principles and methods of computer-aided design of microwave amplifiers, and compiles a computer program for optimal design using variable polyhedron method and pattern search method. Using this program, a microwave amplifier in Ku band is optimized, manufactured and debugged , introduced the test results and debugging experience. The maximum gain of the amplifier is 22dB, and the noise figure is 2.9dB.
