Abstract

With the increasing rate of road accidents globally, there is a pressing need for innovative solutions to enhance road safety. This research paper investigates the potential of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in revolutionizing road safety measures. Through an extensive review of existing literature and case studies, this paper analyzes the role of IoT in the development of smart road safety systems. Various IoT-enabled components such as sensors, cameras, and communication networks are explored, along with their integration into intelligent transportation systems. Furthermore, the paper discusses the benefits, challenges, and future directions of utilizing IoT for road safety enhancement. The findings of this research provide valuable insights for policymakers, transportation authorities, and researchers to design effective strategies for mitigating road accidents and saving lives.
