Influence of Transient Response of FM Phase-Locked Loop on System Performance

Abstract

This paper studies the single PLL frequency hopping frequency synthesizer in the tactical frequency hopping communication station, the transient frequency response process formed by the initial frequency error of each hop, and its influence on the bit error rate of MFSK signal demodulation. The calculation of this paper combined with engineering practice shows that even in medium and high-speed frequency hopping, the impact of transient process on bit error rate is very small.
